Instrument Rating Course (The last big step)

Also known as Instrument Flight Rating (IFR), this course teaches you how to use the instruments in any aircraft from Cessna 150's to Boeing 777's.  Cost for this course using a Single Engine Cessna 152/150 aircraft and a SE SIM for procedures training is budgeted at $5,340.

OPTION 1 (Instrument Rating using singe Engine Aircraft)

20 Hrs. of dual time in a Single-engine aircraft w/Instructor                   $3,340
20 Hrs. of dual time on a Simulator (C-172 or equivalent)                        $1,800
4 Hrs of Ground Briefing by an instructor                                                    $200
TOTAL BUDGET                                                                 $5,340

Total budget for Tuition and Training Fees        $2,200
Total budget for Aircraft Rentals                                       $3,140
Additional Books & Materials                                              None
TOTAL BUDGET                                   $5,340 CDN

Cost of Aircraft rental is additional $3240 if the student choses a Multi-Engine Aircraft for IFR training. Other costs remain same as above.  30 days min. notice required.

Instrument Rating using a Single Engine Aircraft is more economical and generally chosen by most students for package pricing.  However, some airlines and national aviation authorities of many countries require that this training shall be completed in a twin engine aircraft for cost difference shown above.  Student has the option to upgrade from Single Engine to a Multi Engine for IR rating OR from a Cessna 150/152 to a Cessna 172 (for additional $17 / hr.)  for part or all the PPL and CPL Training Course. A min. of 30 days notice is required from the student for such change.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS:

All pilot training in Canada ultimately achieves the same license and related privellges for the student regardelss of the school they join or the country the student came from.  Some students prefer the mega school atmosphere and are willing to pay extra for that satisfaction.  Students or parents who worked hard to save enough for career education shall focus on getting best value for their money.  One must  take into consideration that many soft expenses such as accommodation, transportation, meals, laundry, internet, fuel surcharge, briefings, test preprations, sign out fee for each flight..etc. most often may not be included in quotes by many schools.  Therefore, don't be shocked when the end cost at many other schools results in thousands of extra dollars.  Similarly, there are many countries offering licenses at compromized cost for inferior education which may not be of value when applying for jobs with airlines. Just
be careful and ask these questions before you join any school, Canada or elsewhere!   We Guarantee in writing all what we advertise.  Hope to see you realize the value we offer as we Gurantee our prices and the Quality of Training!!
